Gallery Wall + Phone Doodles

A while ago, I was inspired by a collage of old letters and postcards I saw hanging in a stationery shop. I kept having that idea pop up in the back of my mind, so when I found some vintage postcards at the antique store for ten cents each, I scooped them up! Finally yesterday I got around to putting these lovely collages together! I added in some of my older doodles, a small painting from Hawai'i and some other tidbits, and I really like how they came out!

Then I got REALLY motivated, and actually hung up a new gallery wall in our dining room! We've only had an ugly clock there for the past 9 months, so I am SO happy with this new look. It was pretty easy and fast because I already had the mats painted and the K painting was already done. I love it!

This doodle was done in pencil. I hardly ever use pencil, except in the rare occasion that I keep a sketchbook (which I need to start doing again!) I was on the phone with a friend and since I can never only do one thing at a time, I was doodling this while talking with her. Not a huge fan of the G, but I really like the S and P. Oh, and I used to be so good a doodling flowers, but I am way out of practice.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Lord, hear our Prayer

I was sitting at a coffee shop, and this familiar phrase came to my mind. All I know is that the Lord DOES hear our prayers, and this print will be a great reminder of that.

Colossians 3:12

Love this verse. Reminds me to work on these aspects of my personality and relationships.

Just one of the new prints coming soon to the LFR etsy shop!

Crests.

I've been drawn to the "crest" look lately, trying a few little worship song lyrics out in this form. The top one is my favorite because it was the first one I doodled and so it doesn't seem as forced as the others do.

I doodled these in a coffee shop near Nate's office, waiting for him to get out of work one evening. Then we walked around the city and got dinner down at Quincy Market! Love that place!
