A while ago, I was inspired by a collage of old letters and postcards I saw hanging in a stationery shop. I kept having that idea pop up in the back of my mind, so when I found some vintage postcards at the antique store for ten cents each, I scooped them up! Finally yesterday I got around to putting these lovely collages together! I added in some of my older doodles, a small painting from Hawai'i and some other tidbits, and I really like how they came out!
Then I got REALLY motivated, and actually hung up a new gallery wall in our dining room! We've only had an ugly clock there for the past 9 months, so I am SO happy with this new look. It was pretty easy and fast because I already had the mats painted and the K painting was already done. I love it!
~*~This doodle was done in pencil. I hardly ever use pencil, except in the rare occasion that I keep a sketchbook (which I need to start doing again!) I was on the phone with a friend and since I can never only do one thing at a time, I was doodling this while talking with her. Not a huge fan of the G, but I really like the S and P. Oh, and I used to be so good a doodling flowers, but I am way out of practice.
Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
